Concerts at La Citadelle, Saint Tropez, July 2016

Whether it’s pop, rap or rumba, there’s a concert for everyone at La Citadelle, Saint Tropez this July, with performances from the legendary Sir Tom Jones to rising artists L.E.J.


Marco Mengoni- Friday 15th

Genre: Pop

Marco Mengoni, winner of the Italian adaption of The X Factor 2009, will be performing at La Citadelle on the 15th July 2016. Mengoni has won two MTV Awards for best Italian artist and best European artist, and went on to compete in Eurovision 2016 in Sweden this year, finishing 7th with his song The Essenziale. Marina Kaye- Sunday 17th

Genre: Pop, Pop Rock

French singer Marina Kaye already has a platinum record (double platinum in France) for her debut album Fearless, at the age of only 18. She recently won best album of the year in France. (Tickets cost 40€ from Ticket Master)


Maitre Gims- Tuesday 19th

Genre: Rap

Gandhi Djuna, aka Maitre Gims, was originally a member of Sexion Assault, but in 2013 he released his solo album, Subliminal, which sold over one million copies. He recently won the award for best original song at the French Grammy’s with his song Saps Like Never. (Tickets cost 51€ from Ticket Master)


Tom Jones- Wednesday 20th

Genre: Pop, Blue-eyed Soul

The Legendary Sir Tom Jones will be in St Tropez on the 20th July. Jones gained worldwide success- especially in Europe- in the late 1990s, notably with the song Sex Bomb. Since1965, he has sold over 100 million records and won numerous awards. (Tickets cost 78.50€ from Ticket Master)


2 Many DJs- Thursday 21st and Wednesday 27th July

Genre: Indie Rock, Dance, Electro

Inspired by Grandmaster Flash, the Belgium DJ brother duo mash-up their favourite songs, and they will often play 2-3 different tracks within the space of 5 minutes. (Tickets cost 51€ from Ticket Master)


Christophe Willem- Sunday 24th July

Genre: Pop, Electro

Willem is the 2006 winner of the French singing contest Novelle Star, and is a former judge of the French adaption of The X Factor. He has won many awards, including Song of the Year 2008 at the French Grammy’s (Victoires de la Musiques). (Tickets cost 49.90€ from Ticket Master)


L.E.J- Monday 25th July

Genre: Medley, Pop Classic

Youtube sensations L.E.J (Lucis, Elisa and Juliet) will be performing on the 25th at La Citadelle. They rose to fame in 2015 after posting a video of themselves singing a medley of songs, which included Hey Mama David Guetta, Lean on Major Laser, etc. (Tickets cost 40€ from Song Kick)


Chico and the Gypsies- Thursday 28th July

Louane- Saturday 30th July

Genre: French Variety

She rose to fame on the talent show The Voice in 2013, having been dubbed the most beautiful voice, and in 2014 she made her acting debut in the film The Family Aries, which earned her the César Award for Most Promising Actress in 2015.
